CID Squad: Shivaji Satam shares his experience on watching his character in an animated form; says, ‘I am honoured and I can’t – Exclusive

MUMBAI: The legendary crime-investigation drama, a cornerstone of Indian television history, is now set to reach an even wider audience as it begins streaming on Netflix from 21st February.

At the same time, viewers can continue to enjoy the show on Sony TV and Sony LIV, ensuring it’s thrilling narratives remain accessible across multiple platforms.

The series revolves around the gripping investigations of the Crime Investigation Department, led by the formidable ACP Pradyuman, portrayed by the esteemed Shivaji Satam.

After years of anticipation, CID has returned with Season 2, receiving a warm welcome from fans. The new season opened with strong ratings, proving the show’s legacy remains as powerful as ever.

Now, the beloved show is set to take on an exciting new form as it arrives on Sony YAY in an animated avatar. Fans can hardly contain their excitement at the prospect of seeing their favourite characters in a fresh, animated version. The show is titled as CID Squad.

In an exclusive chat with TellyChakkar, Shivaji Satam expressed his immense joy and pride in witnessing these cherished characters come to life in an entirely new way.

CID is making a grand return in an anime format, which means a whole new generation of young fans will get to experience the thrill of the show. How does it feel to see CID evolve in such an exciting way?

It’s truly incredible to see this fresh take on the show in such an exciting way! When we started this journey decades ago, we never imagined that one day, the show would take on an animated avatar. It’s a testament to the love and admiration that CID has received over the years.

For me, ACP Pradyuman and other characters are more than just roles, they are a part of our lives and seeing them return in this exciting new format is fascinating. CID Squad is a fast-paced, exciting new show which brings with it a unique new way of solving crimes – all in animation!

I’m looking forward to see audiences of all age groups, not just kids, enjoying this show. There’s brilliant new storylines, great character development and enough mystery and suspense to keep audiences hooked with of course, a healthy dose of humour and teamwork. This is truly Naye Yug Ka Naya CID!

2.Fans have loved ACP Pradyuman, Daya, and Abhijeet for years, and now they’ll see them like never before animated! What’s your reaction to witnessing yourself in this brand-new avatar?

When I first saw the animated version of ACP Pradyuman, I couldn’t help but smile. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so honoured! It’s a completely fresh take on a character I have lived and breathed for so many years.

Hats off to the Sony YAY! Team for coming up with this incredible idea of an animated CID, now known as CID Squad!

After watching a few episodes, I was truly amazed. It felt familiar but extremely new at the same time! The way it’s made, the storylines, the characters, and the technology – everything is so cool! The show has a refreshing new feel to it which I am sure viewers of all age groups will appreciate!

Well, no doubt that the fans are super excited to see CID in an animated avatar.
