MUMBAI: Aamir Khan is one of the most celebrated and legendary actors of Bollywood, earning the title of "Mr. Perfectionist." With a career spanning over three decades, he has delivered numerous iconic roles and unforgettable films. Recently, PVR Cinemas paid tribute to his contribution to Indian cinema by organizing a special film festival, Aamir Khan: Cinema Ka Jadugar. As the festival concludes, PVR Cinemas marked the occasion by sharing Ghibli-style pictures of Aamir Khan’s iconic roles from PK, Lagaan, Dangal, Taare Zameen Par, and more.
Sharing the Ghibli pictures, they wrote, “Thank you all for showing so much love to The Aamir Khan Film Festival! The festival ends today, but we are grateful for the endless appreciation you poured on it....@aamirkhanproductions @vidhuvinodchoprafilms @rhfilmsofficial”
Aamir Khan’s filmography beautifully mirrors the purity and honesty inherent in Studio Ghibli art. Like Ghibli's works, Aamir’s films often showcase a deep innocence, exploring themes of childhood, wonder, and human connection with an unwavering sincerity. Aamir’s roles in films like Taare Zameen Par and PK—offer heartfelt explorations of societal norms and individual struggles. The film festival, held from March 14 to March 27, featured screenings of 22 Aamir Khan films. It showcased his iconic roles, allowing audiences to relive the magic of his performances on the big screen.
Apart from this grand celebration of his contribution, Aamir Khan’s production house recently launched its YouTube channel, Aamir Khan Talkies. The channel aims to create a platform for discussing his films and the art of filmmaking. It will offer an exclusive behind-the-scenes look into cinema, revealing the deeper meaning behind every scene. Additionally, Aamir Khan's upcoming film, Sitaare Zameen Par, is also gearing up for release.
