MUMBAI: The trailer of Ground Zero was unveiled yesterday at a grand launch event, attended by lead actor Emraan Hashmi, director Tejas Deoskar, co-star Sai Tamhankar, producer Ritesh Sidhwani, Zoya Hussain and the real-life hero himself - Ex BSF Commandant Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey, whose extraordinary journey inspired Emraan Hashmi’s character in the film.
In a moving moment during the launch, BSF Commandant NND recalled a near-fatal encounter during the event. Dubey shared an unforgettable anecdote from his operation to capture the mastermind behind the Parliament attack, Baba Ghazi. “Amid heavy AK-47 fire, I was hit by multiple rounds. Thanks to the protection offered by my medal, most bullets were deflected—but one grazed me and remains lodged as a lasting reminder,” he said, as the room fell silent in awe of his courage.
Excel Entertainment presents an Excel Entertainment Production, produced by Ritesh Sidhwani & Farhan Akhtar. Directed by Tejas Deoskar, the film is co-produced by Kassim Jagmagia, Vishal Ramchandani, Sundeep C Sidhwani, Arhan Bagati, Talisman Films, Abhishek Kumar, and Nishikant Roy. Ground Zero storms into cinemas on April 25, 2025.
