MUMBAI: Nawazuddin Siddiqui is set to portray the late customs officer Costao Fernandes in the upcoming biopic Costao. Known for his transformative performances in films like Manto, Thackeray, Raman Raghav 2.0, and Manjhi: The Mountain Man, Siddiqui immerses himself deeply into his roles, bringing authenticity and depth to real-life characters and also proving how he is a legendary actor. In Costao, he embodies Fernandes, the courageous Goan customs officer who, in the 1990s, exposed a significant gold smuggling operation, showcasing his unwavering dedication and bravery. The recently released poster hints at Siddiqui’s compelling transformation, promising another powerful portrayal that captures the essence of Fernandes’s heroic journey.
