MUMBAI: Maruti Suzuki Arena Mumbai Comic Con 2025, powered by Crunchyroll, brought the Comic Con India 2025 season to an electrifying close with a vibrant showcase of comics, cosplay, anime, and pop culture fandom at its finest. With over 54k+ visitors and 5K+ cosplayer sign-ups, the Mumbai edition drew fans from across the maximum city for two action-packed days of live entertainment, immersive experiences, and exclusive fan moments.
Mumbai, known as the heart of India’s entertainment industry, came alive with the spirit of fandom — from jaw-dropping cosplay to dynamic creator showcases, the energy was electric throughout. Fans arrived in large numbers, many dressed as their favourite characters like Deadpool, Spiderman, Batman, Fantastic Four, Zorro, Luffy, Wolverine and Satoru Gojo, bringing iconic characters to life with stunning detail and creativity. International comic creators Jim Zub, Rob DenBleyker and the SWAT Kats fame Canadian brothers Christian and Yvon Tremblay engaged with audiences with interactive panels and meet-and-greet sessions, offering fans a rare glimpse into their creative process. The convention also had some of India’s most finest comic book artists and studios, including Abhijeet Kini Studios, Indusverse, Yali Dream Creations, Garbage Bin, Graphicurry, Rajesh Nagulakonda, Bullseye Press, LILOROSH, Art of SAVIO, Corporat, Akshara Ashok Aka Happyfluff, U & V Works, Urban Tales, Bakarmax, Tadam Gyadu, Saumin Patel and many more left their mark with exclusive artwork and fan interactions.
Adding to the excitement, fans witnessed a historic moment with an exclusive panel session featuring legendary One Piece voice actors Kappei Yamaguchi and Hiroaki Hirata. Comedy took center stage with Biswa Kalyan Rath, Rahul Dua, Rohan Joshi, Sahil Shah, and The Internet Said So (TISS), featuring Varun Thakur, Kautuk Srivastava, Neville Shah who brought their signature wit and storytelling to cheering crowds. High-octane performances by Geek Fruit and MOOZ X Afsar, while DJ Kazu kept the vibe going with a genre-bending set that had fans grooving well into the evening.
Christian and Yvon Tremblay, creators of SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron shared “It’s an incredible feeling to finally be here in Mumbai after all these years. We've always known we had fans in India—through emails and social media—but nothing prepared us for the warmth and passion we’ve experienced in person. The fans here are amazing. As much as they’re excited to meet us, we’re deeply grateful to meet them too—because without their love and support, SWAT Kats wouldn’t exist. This moment has been a long time coming, and we’re so happy to be sharing stories, memories, and smiles together.”
Comedian Rahul Dua said, “I have previously done Delhi and other editions of Comic Con, but this was my first time at Mumbai Comic Con. It has always been very fun, and the energy is magnificent. There is an infectious energy here always. It offers something for everyone; if anyone wants to buy something quirky, have a great evening, engage in games, you have it all. And that’s why I like coming back to perform on this stage.”
Fans were treated to a whirlwind of immersive zones from global giants like Warner Bros’ Superman fanbooth and Final Destination activation, Marvel Studios' high-energy Thunderbolts* immersive recruitment center and a Fantastic Four's retro futuristic photobooth, Sony Pictures’ Karate Kid Legends experience featuring a punching machine and exclusive giveaways, Bandai Namco’s anime-fueled Blue Lock showcase with arcade games and collectibles, Universal Pictures’ dual-world displays for Jurassic World and How to Train Your Dragon packed with photobooths and merch, and Crunchyroll’s vibrant space offering slo-mo photo booths, games, and interactive anime-themed activities, Android, Yamaha, Penguin Random House India and Maruti Suzuki Arena—bringing anime domes, interactive games, movie thrills and epic fan experiences to life. The NODWIN Gaming Arena delivered adrenaline-pumping showcases from PlayStation, Lenovo, Logitech, Intel, Ubisoft, Riot Games, Kreo, and Elite House. For the first time ever, Royal Challenge Packaged Drinking Water stepped into the gaming arena with its high-octane Challenger Gaming Zone, which brought the thrill of cricket to life like never before — blending sport and play across mobile, VR, and console experiences. This bold debut wasn't just a hit – it signalled Royal Challenge Packaged Drinking Water's arrival as a bold player in the world of esports and new-age fandom. Meanwhile, the Chandrayaan VR zone launched fans straight into space. Exclusive to Mumbai, the Indie Game Utsav stole the spotlight, showcasing 40+ Made-in-India PC and console games and highlighting the future of Indian gaming. Bringing a fresh and empowering dimension to the event, the It’s A Girl Thing (IAGT) zone championed youth culture and empowerment, creating space for bold conversations and modern fandoms to thrive.
