MUMBAI: The popular drama series Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin (GHKKPM), produced by Cockcrow and Shaika Entertainment, has recently taken a dramatic leap forward in its storyline. In an exclusive chat with TellyChakkar, Sanam opened up about his journey into the show, how he landed the role, and whether he felt any pressure stepping into an already well-established and high-performing series.
“No Pressure, Just Focus on the Character”
When asked whether the show’s consistently high TRP ratings added any pressure to his performance, Sanam responded with refreshing honesty.
"To be completely honest, I didn’t feel weighed down by the expectations or the TRP numbers," he shared. "We all know GHKKPM is one of the top five shows on television, but the producers, the crew, and the entire team made me feel extremely comfortable. They encouraged me to focus solely on my character and to make it connect with the audience. That kind of support really helped me settle in."
A Serendipitous Casting Journey
Recalling how he bagged the role, Sanam described the process as fairly straightforward—but one that came together almost serendipitously.
"It was like any other audition," he explained. "The casting director called me, but I couldn’t attend for about a week due to prior commitments. Once I was free, I gave the audition, followed by a mock test, and before I knew it, I was officially on board."
Winning Hearts as Ruturaj
With his natural charm and on-screen presence, Sanam has already managed to carve a niche for himself as Ruturaj. Fans are resonating with his performance, and it’s clear he’s made a significant impact in a relatively short span of time.
