Saru: Crime Patrol fame Zeel Thakkar roped in for the show; deets inside - Exclusive

MUMBAI: Zee TV, a channel celebrated for its rich repertoire of successful shows like Kumkum Bhagya, Kundali Bhagya, Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gayi, Bhagya Lakshmi, Rabb Se Hai Dua, Vasudha, Jagriti – Ek Nayi Subah, and the much-loved reality singing show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, is all set to expand its prime-time slate.

In the pipeline is a brand-new show titled ‘Saru’, which will be produced by the acclaimed banner Shashi Sumeet Productions.

Known for delivering heart-warming and socially resonant stories, the production house has previously impressed audiences with hits such as Diya Aur Baati Hum, Punar Vivah – Ek Nayi Umeed, Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai, Shubhaarambh, Barrister Babu, and Tera Yaar Hoon Main.

Earlier, we reported that actress Iqra Shaikh is set to join the cast in a negative role.

Now, as per sources, Zeel Thakkar has been roped in for the show. The young actress will be seen playing the role of Phulla. She was previously seen in the popular show Crime Patrol.

It was also reported that Saru will replace Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gayi.
