MUMBAI: Helly Shah is one of the most renowned actresses who has extensively worked in the Hindi TV industry and has also made her presence in movies and OTT space. The actress entered the world of TV entertainment in 2010 with the show ‘Zindagi Ka Har Rang...Gulaal’.

As the actress carved her way to more performances, audiences got to witness her amazing performance in Swaragini, where she portrayed Swara Bose Maheshwari. The actress gained immense recognition later again with her performances in Sufiyana Pyaar Mera and Ishq Mein Marjawan 2.
In an exclusive interview with Tellychakkar, Helly Shah opened up about her life, her struggles and her achievements. Almost every actress, coming from out of the industry, who tried to enter the TV or movie industry has a story about uncomfortable situations. Helly Shah opens up about an uncomfortable situation too.
Helly Shah says, “Kabhi koi toh hoga jo aapko uncomfortable feel karne ki koshish karega, I can’t deny that kyuki industry mein 10 mein se 9 ache log ho sakte hai but ek koi aisa ho sakta hai jo shayad aapki jo innocence hai uska fayda uthane ki koshish karega. You have to be smart enough and you have to be aware. Aware main isi liye keh rahi hoon kyuki main Bandra mujhe kisi film ki meeting ke liye kabhi bulaya gaya tha toh main chali gayi aur main akeli gayi thi. So jab main baithi thi aamne saamne toh that person stood up and woh iss taraf aa gaya and I got uncomfortable because there was no need to for him to stand up and come till my chair. Kuch kuch baat karni thi, aisi kahaani hai, yeh hai woh hai and uske baad main thodi si uncomfortable hui and I shifted my seat. Maine phone uthaya toh probably he thought that I might call somebody, toh wapas uss taraf chale gaye. Within I think 2 minutes, I left the place. I was scared. Jaise hi main office ke bahar pohchi, mujhe darr lag gaya tha. I thought so stupid of me ki main kisi naye insaan ko milne akele aa gayi but I was happy ke at least I was aware aur mujhe pata chal gaya ki main nikal gayi. Main agar 5-10 minute aur wahan ruki hoti toh I don’t know, I mean main aur wahin pe darr jati and kuch aur bhi ho sakta tha, I don’t know.”
Talking about how she felt about that at such a young age, she said, “For brief period of time mujhe laga you have such sweet friends, aap sab share karte the, aapko best friends bula rahi hu and then suddenly there’s this gap of communication and aap alag se sunn rahe ho behind your back you’re getting to know ke yeh log ab bohot baatein kar rahe hai ya andar alag hi rumor hai ya gossip ho rahi hai toh phir mujhe laga kya fayda fir aise friends ka. It did affect me par again, main jaane deti hoon issues ko.”
