MUMBAI: In a heartbreaking revelation that has left the television fraternity and fans in shock, popular actress Dipika Kakar shared on social media that she has been diagnosed with Stage 2 liver cancer.
The actress took to her official platform to make the emotional announcement, disclosing that doctors discovered a tumour the size of a tennis ball, which has been confirmed as cancerous.
Dipika explained that while the news came as a devastating blow, she remains hopeful. Her doctors have advised surgery to remove the tumour, which will be carried out once she recovers from a bout of flu. Post-surgery, they are optimistic about her recovery.
