MUMBAI- Renowned television actor Rahul Sharma, known for his compelling screen presence and thoughtful choice of roles, has officially joined the cast of Star Plus’ iconic series Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Was there a reference point you used while preparing for this character?
“To be completely honest, I was my own reference,” Rahul shared with a smile.
“I kept wondering whom I could draw inspiration from for this role, and then it struck me—I share a lot in common with the character itself. I’m naturally cheerful and I love keeping the vibe on set light and happy. Every morning, I greet everyone with a ‘Good Morning!’ I’m very easy-going and have a great rapport with my co-actors, so it felt quite natural to bring those traits into the performance.”
What has it been like working with Anita Raj?
“She’s an absolute legend,” Rahul said, clearly in admiration.“Her discipline, especially her workout videos and fitness routine, is incredibly inspiring. As an actress and a person, she sets the bar high. We all look up to her, and I genuinely feel we can learn so much just by observing her consistency and commitment to the craft.”
With Rahul Sharma’s addition to the ensemble, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai continues to evolve while maintaining its emotional core. His fans are delighted to see him back on screen, and early glimpses suggest his character will bring both charm and depth to the storyline.
