Guys, you love her moves and looks. Yes, we are talking about the stunning and sexy Mukti Mohan who has earlier been a part of shows like Zara Nachke Dikha and Comedy Circus Ka Jadoo. And now she is making everyone go ga ga with her outstanding performances in Colors’ Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 6 (BBC Worldwide Productions). To know more about her journey in the show, we got in touch with this lovely lady and asked her a few questions. How’s Jhalak treating you? “It is going great. It is an honour to perform in front of the three great judges Madhuri Ma’m (Dixit), Karan (Johar) and Remo Sir (Dsouza). For the first time, this week I earned full 30 points; hence I am pretty excited,” says an excited Mukti. What you have to say about your choreographer? “Well, my choreographer Altaf Iqbal injured his knee. It happened after he slipped from the staircase he was climbing on. Now, I have a new choreographer in Shashank Dogra who has earlier been part of Dance India Dance season 2. Even he is a fantastic dancer and together, we rocked the stage (they performed together this week),” she avers. Who is your competition in the show? “For me, everyone is my competition. This week three contestants including me have scored full marks. Till now, all the contestants are performing brilliantly and are living up to the show’s level. In such a case, anyone who keeps his/her best foot forward can emerge as the surprise package,” Mukti observes. How many hours do you rehearse in a day? “Non-stop, I even dance in my dreams while sleeping, so you can imagine my level of commitment. I keep thinking about the song and the moves that I am going to perform in front of the judges.” What different will you offer to the viewers? “This season we are being given themes, so we have to primarily focus on that. Depending upon the theme, we will try to bring out our best on the stage. This week, I am performing tandav nritya and it will be the first time that a woman will perform the dance form on television. I have to keep up my bar in the same vein and keep giving my best,” she answers. Till now none of the wild card entrants have won the show. So what you have to say about it? “I have also given it a thought; but my job is to deliver and leave the rest on the judges and the janta (viewers),” Mukti quips. There have been reports about the channel’s (Colors) artists being given more preference; don’t you feel this is unfair? “Well, I am really not aware of all these things. I am out of channel politics and as I said, my agenda is to put in my best performance,” the lady observes. Any message for your fans? “My dear fans, all I need from you is support. Though I am not a television face, but vote for me based on my performance,” she maintains. Mukti…go for the win!!!
