Face off Bobby Bedi’s Mahabharat

As Ekta Kapoor’s Kahaani Hamaaray Mahaabhaarat Ki begins from 7 July, Star Plus and Bobby Bedi are reportedly working overtime on their version of the epic. After a long search Bobby’s production house Kaleidoscope has finally zeroed down on the faces of Mahabharat. We bring you a sneak peek into Bedi’s Mahabharat with the details of the actors and the update on the show. Our khabroo from the sets reveals, “Nirmal Pandey has been finalised to essay the role Dhritarashtra where as Lillete Dubey’s younger sister Lushin Dubey is roped in to play the important character of Kunti.” “There are many new faces in the show. The star cast includes Dinesh Mehta as Yudhisthir, Ketan as Bhim, Amit Gaur as Arjun, Sumit as Nakul, Avinash as Sahdev, Shivani Wazir as Gandhari, Ashvat Bhatt as Shakuni, Shaji Chaudhari as Dronacharya and Vineet Sharma as Vidur” adds our khabroo. Another source from the industry informs, “Gagan Malik was approached to play Lord Krishna in Star Plus’ Mahabharat but he couldn’t take up the offer as he is busy shooting for his daily Saath Saath- Banayenge Ek Ashiyana on Zee. There will be many good looking hunks on the show.” The shooting which is on in the jungles of Morna, near Delhi is currently at a halt due to the heavy rains. “The cast and crew of Maharabharat have finished the indoor shoots but the outdoors shots are still to be completed,” concludes the source.
