Jagdish Raj passes away

Remember Jagdish Raj, who played one of the three people (the others Satyen Kappu and Viju Khote) who accidentally posed as the father of Randhir Kapoor in Rose Movies’ Jawani Diwani before the college principal (A K Hangal), has expired. Born in 1928 in the town of Sargodha, (now in Pakistan), Jagdish Raj Khurana was a reputed actor who holds a Guinness World Record of being the most type-cast film personality having played a police inspector’s role in nearly 144 films. It is said that the 85 year-old actor was suffering from respiratory problem and breathed his last in the morning owing to respiratory arrest. The actor has been a part of some well-known films like Imaan Dharam, Mazdoor, Silsila, Gopichand Jasoos, Besharam and Aaina. Raj is survived by his two daughters, Anita Raj and Roopa Malhotra.
