No need of gimmicks on Junoon

Junoon on NDTV Imagine has started with a bang. With judges like Ila Arun, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Anand Raj Anand the show is attracting many viewers. But like other reality shows there won’t be any drama on this one says Ila Arun. “There is no space for gimmicks on Junoon. We don’t need to create unnecessary drama to get attention of the audience,” says Ila Arun. “This show is purely about music and there is no place for any drama as we are here to entertain,” she adds Ila Arun is the mentor cum judge and head of the folk genre in the show. “I love folk music and had lived it all through my life. I feel that folk is the origin of every music. Music is always young and it can never die,” she states “It is not only entertaining people but also providing education about the different kind of folk music in India. It makes villagers very happy that their music is also heard worldwide on such a big stage,” says the judge. What do you have to say about Hrithik who is the goodwill ambassador of the show? “He is sensitive towards the music and belongs to a family who understands it so very well. I think it is good to have him on Junoon as the goodwill ambassador.”
