Rohit Purohit opts out of Desh Ki Beti Nandini; resumes shoot for Shapath

Rohit Purohit
The tall and handsome Rohit Purohit was in news recently for having bagged Rashmi Sharma’s upcoming show, Desh Ki Beti Nandini on Sony Entertainment Television. He was supposed to play the lead, and had signed his contract papers too. However, the recent development is that he is no more part of this Rashmi Sharma Productions show. A source close to Rohit told us that the actor is particularly irked with the way things progressed in the serial. When he was offered the role, he was told that the shoot will start in a week’s time. However, on signing the contract the production house remained secretive about the character he is going to play. Even when he was kept on board, options for lead (like Nandish Sandhu) were being looked at. In fact, when he bagged this role, Rohit had went ahead to send out a notice letter for termination from his ongoing show Hum Ne Li Hai... Shapath. But after a waiting period of one and half months, Rohit decided to opt out of Desh Ki Beti … Nandini. When contacted, Rohit Purohit said, “Yes, it is true that I had signed the contract for Nandini. But now I am not doing the show, and have decided to stick on to Shapath. The delay and various other reasons forced me to take this decision.” Rohit has resumed shoot for Shapath. Better luck next time, Rohit.
