Investments are made to secure one’s future to meet urgent unforeseen medical expenses. Handling finance is an important part of everyone’s life. But actress Deepika Singh, an MBA in marketing, feels quite the contrary.
How important is money to you?
Money is not at all that important for me; I think the most important thing in my life is relationships and the respect you earn in society.
Are you an impulsive buyer?
No.
What are the investments you have made ?
I have not made many investments which I can really talk about as money in my life just comes and goes. I am of the feeling that if money has to stay in a person’s life, it will automatically make a home for itself.
What is your most expensive purchase?
It’s my house.
Do you feel financially secured?
At present, yes as I have some savings which are being handled by my CA.
Who handles your expenses?
I handle the major part of my income all by myself.
What was your first salary?
It was a mere Rs. 500 that I earned by giving tuitions in maths when I was 16 years old.
How much money do you carry every day?
It is between Rs. 3 to 4,000, the rest is credit and debit cards.
Any advice for new investors?
I am a very emotional person and not a practical person. So I do not know if I would be able to give the right advice on this!
