Chocolate hero Imran Khan has run into some inclement Whether post the debacle of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobaara. For starters, critics didn’t exactly heap praise on his portrayal of a gangster in the movie. His poor acting and weak dialogue delivery were singled out for some really harsh criticism. In an industry as fickle as Bollywood, a flop show in a mega-budget movie can have greater ramifications and with Imran’s last movie not hitting the bull’s eye, it’s not far-fetched to say that much is at stake for the actor with his next offering, Karan Johar’s Gori Tere Pyaar Main.
When we asked Imran about the same, he had this to say. “I think you are under pressure to deliver in each and every movie of yours. You are only as good as your last movie. Irrespective of whether your previous movie was a hit or a flop, you are always expected to deliver in your next project. Even if you are coming after a string of successful films that doesn't mean that the pressure is any less. Pressure is always there.”
Imran’s displeasure over the promotional strategies employed by Balaji’s boss Ekta Kapoor was also quite publicized leading to an alleged tiff between the two. When quizzed about the same Imran said that he wouldn’t like to dwell into matters of the past. “I believe if you can't say something good, you shouldn’t say anything at all,” said Imran before adding that he likes promotional strategy of a movie to be intelligent rather than aggressive.
Gori Tere Pyaar Main directed by Punit Malhotra will see Imran teaming up with Kareena Kapoor. The movie is a romantic comedy tied with a social cause and is all set to release on 22nd November.
