With the race of reaching the 100 crore club getting stronger, producers are leaving no stones unturned to reach the top. From getting the best star cast, to tuneful item songs to a having a popular singer to croon a special number, all try their best to make their project a wholesome package. On this aspect, most of them have been successful in getting the required eyeballs, but some feel that it is ruining the culture. One such person is the popular actor turned lyricist-singer Dakssh Ajit Singh who is feeling really disturbed by a song from the upcoming film Boss. Yes, you guessed it right we are talking about the song Party all night which has some derogatory lines like, G@#d mein dum hai to bandh karwa lo. The good looking actor had recently updated his Facebook status “....mein dum hai to band karwa lo. Ab sensor walon ki .... mein d.. nahin hai aise gaaney band karwaney kaa. proud to be an indian... waah shankar ji. khair kuch to behtar ho raha hoga ess se... kehte to yahi hain sab jo woh karta hai ache ke liye hota hai. god bls u yo yo n akshay for such inspiring song...(sic)” When we contacted Dakssh on this he said, “It’s complete crass; imagine on one side we are having debates on rapes and crimes while on the other we have such cheap songs airing on our TV all day, it’s the biggest irony! And if these things are left only in theatres, it’s understandable, but when it is right in your drawing room with children around, how will you manage to chide it away?” “If a big star like Akshay Kumar can stoop such low, what impression will it have on our culture? Since they are favourites, whatever they do will be copied by the youth. So it is an added responsibility for them to be extra cautious and send across positive messages and not go by cheap publicity tactics,” adds the actor. Dakssh further talks about strict actions being taken against such contents. “This song has girls explicitly mouthing those offensive words. So how do you expect people to respect women? And children will get influenced the most. It’s simply a shame that nobody wants to stand up for or take action,” says a worried Dakssh. Well, it’s strange that where people like Dakssh feel offended about such songs, there are some who enjoy such content the most. To each his own!!!
