After Bollywood biggies Big B, SRK, Govinda, Ajay Devgan, Kajol and Tanuja, it is Rangeela girl Urmila Matondkar who is staking her claim as host on Sony’s new reality show Waar-Parriwar. The show is being produced by Gajendra Singh’s Saibaba Telefilms. Urmila appeared on Jhalak Dikhla Ja2 as a judge and a celebrity judge in one of the episodes of Chhote Ustaad. A source from the production house says, “The show is a musical antakshari which will have families participating and Urmila is hosting the show.” Albert Almeida, Executive VP and Business Head Sony, says, “Urmila is hosting the show. The show’s motto is to hunt for a Sangeet Gharana and there will be families battling it out for the coveted title. The current layout is for 17 weeks and we have not yet decided on the day and time-slot for the program.” Almeida also informs that the show will not have any judges as the winner will be selected through sms. Now as one more film star descends on the small screen isn’t it about time we call it the big screen?
