Gulshan Grover plays a character inspired from M F Hussain in Sooper se Ooper

After the supper success of films like The Dirty Picture and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, filmmakers, of late are in a craze to make bio pics. But it is not an easy proposition to make films of that genre as it requires a lot of dedication and research. So some make films based on particular personalities calling the same ‘inspired by’. A similar case is that of the film Sooper se Ooper in which Gulshan Grover's character has been inspired by late world famous artist cum filmmaker Maqbool Fida Husain. Not only will Gulshan Grover's character inherit the actions that the late painter usually performed but will also don a similar look of Husain. Akin to the late artist’s mannerism when he was time and again witnessed walking around bare footed, Sooper se Ooper will also see Gulshan Grover doing the same. The experienced actor will also be seen carrying a brush with himself throughout the film which was also Husain's patent habit. Though Husain’s mannerisms will be imbibed, Gulshan would play a painter. Here he plays a London-based don who returns to his home town Rajasthan where Deepak Dobriyal and Yashpal Sharma join him as his accomplices. Sooper se Ooper has Vir Das and Kirti Kulhari in the lead.
