TV couples observe Karva Chauth with due devotion
Karva Chauth is ritual that is observed by Indian women for the long life of their husbands. On this day married women wake up before sunrise, take bath and seek blessings of God and the elders. Soon after, the mother-in-laws gift their daughter-in-laws with loads of gifts. This is known as 'Sargi'. Traditionally the mother-in-laws must fill earthen pots with foods such as fruits, fried potatoes, milk based sweets, rotis etc which would give enough strength to their daughter-in-laws to live long. The food given by way of Sargi has to be eaten by the daughter-in-laws before sunrise who then begin their fast. On this auspicious day we called up a few TV actresses and asked them as to how are they observing this day.
