Amita Ka Amit will stay on till December 2013

Recently there was a media report which suggested that Sony Entertainment Television’s Amita Ka Amit which never really got great ratings might be shutting shop soon. Now we have confirmed news that it will mostly end, but not now. The show looks to be heading for a closure sometime in December (2013). Lead actress Chandni Bhagwanani (Amita) confirmed the same saying, “We too have heard such rumours. Hence we asked the production house (Swastik Productions) and they informed us that the show will definitely run till December. It might get extended beyond as well, but there is no guarantee on that. ” Chandni also accepted that her girl next door love story concept never really clicked. “Initially, we were really disappointed that despite putting in so much of hard work we were not getting due numbers. But over time we learnt to live with it. Our show might not boast of big audiences, but we have a small share of viewers who love our work. Many of them have written to me and my co-star Nishad Vaidya (Amit) saying they want the show to continue. We have passed on the messages to the production house, let see what action they take.” Let’s see what’s in store for Amita Ka Amit in the near future.
