An unaware Rajveer to go on a hunger strike in Sony TV's Desh Ki Beti Nandini

Rafi Malik
Sony Entertainment Television’s highly anticipated show Desh Ki Beti Nandini (Rashmi Sharma Productions) is doing quite well with its political storyline and a great ensemble cast. With the right mix of newcomers and veteran actors and a lot of drama in the sequences, the show is slowly gaining popularity. As already seen, Rajveer (Rafi Malik) is having a great time trying to groove himself in the life of the commoners and preparing to become the next big thing in the world of politics. A source informs us, “Rajveer had never planned to get into politics but in order to fulfill his mom’s wishes, the young man has decided to give it a try to let his family rule once again.” In the upcoming episodes, Rajveer, who is out campaigning trying to impress the people in his city, will accidently drop in Nandini’s (Kirti Nagpure) house and will have to witness the ugly conditions of a normal middle-class house. With the media following him around, he will be in a mess trying to speak the right words. And then suddenly Rajveer, who hardly understands the political lingo, will happily announce to the media that he is going on an Anshan (hunger strike) to help the people. And when this young dashing politician gets to know what he has done to himself, he will be shocked. Feeling hungry after sometime, he will go backstage to munch on something only to find Nandini supporting his cause there. So will he continue with the fast to impress Nandini or will he tell her the truth? We called up Rafi who was surprised as to how we got to know of the upcoming episodes (we are super smart, Rafi). Despite this he averred, “Yes, I am shooting for the sequence right now and to depict the feel of a real hungry man, I actually didn’t eat anything since last night. I was really hungry and it was really difficult, but all said and done, it was definitely fun.” It will be worth a watch how this UK returned desi politician manages to get on with his hunger strike.
