Aishwarya Sakhuja backs out; Kunal Verma, Sahil, Shruti, Krutika approached for Rashmi Sharma's next on Zee TV

Along with the three ongoing shows on diverse channels, namely Star Plus’s Saath Nibhana Sathiya, Colors’ Sasural Simar Ka and newest Sony Entertainment Television’s Desh Ki Beti Nandini, Rashmi Sharma Productions is all set to launch a new show on Zee TV. And according to our sources, the plot will be a romantic, family drama. Now, talking about the cast there was news about Aishwarya Sakhuja being roped in as the female lead but we have confirmed reports that the leggy lass has opted out of the project. With this, the hunt for the female lead is still on but the production house, in most probability, has zeroed in on Kunal Verma to play the male protagonist. Kunal’s last prominent stint on television was Life OK’s Mahadev. We tried getting in touch with both Aishwarya and Kunal, but they remained unavailable. Moving on to the other actors in the show, Shruti Ulfat (Sasural Genda Phool fame) will be seen playing the role of Kunal’s mother while veteran actor Sahil Chaddha will play the role of Kunal’s father. Furthermore, Krutika Desai – who is currently seen in Colors’ Uttaran – has also been approached to the play the character of the female lead’s mother.
