Hrithik v/s SRK: Nobody in the world can steal my thunder, says Hrithik Roshan when asked about Chennai Express's recent success bash

Krrish 3’s stupendous success has set many tongues wagging in Bollywood. The question now being asked is whether Krrish 3 will break Chennai Express’ box office record? This question particularly gained a huge momentum on Monday when Krrish 3 broke Chennai Express’ record of maximum one day collections. And not surprisingly, SRK camp responded by throwing a success party for Chennai Express (yet again but this time for highest rating ever for a world TV premiere). Now this was perhaps the umpteenth time, SRK was throwing a bash for his 200-crore movie. While it is alright to celebrate as long as you want, what caught our eye was the timing of the success bash coming right on the heels of Krrish 3’s record breaking performance at the box office. Was this an attempt to steal away Hrithik’s thunder? When Hrithik was asked this exact question, Hrithik snapped back in style. “Nobody in the world can steal anyone else’s thunder. Your thunder resides in your heart, your walk, your sound. The way you wake up in the morning defines your thunder. All these records are facts and figures which are important as they define the progress of your films and cinema. But it’s not about breaking records. It is all about being inspired by one record and trying to better it with your next film and then taking it forward. So with my next film I will try to better the record of Krrish. And talking about films breaking records, I would say more the merrier. Keep on the breaking the records I say. It’s Krrish 3 for now and it could be Dhoom 3 later.” Now that’s a thunderous response from our superhero, we feel. Looking at the way Krrish 3 has been amassing crores daily, a success party from the Roshans could be well be on the anvil. Meanwhile, sources inform us that SRK is planning yet another success bash for Chennai Express after the 2nd show of the movie on Zee TV. Let’s wait and watch who will be having the last thunder.
