Imran Khan is one actor who doesn't mince words when it comes to speaking his mind. He likes calling a spade a spade. In fact he was one of the very first actors who opened up about Ekta Kapoor's aggressive promotional tactics. The young actor made it clear that he was not quite comfortable with Ekta's promotional strategy.
When we met Imran recently we couldn't help but ask him what he thought went wrong with the mega budget movie. "It was released on 1000 prints. That is what went wrong. The audience didn't get a chance to watch the movie," Imran said.
It's a well-known fact that SRK had virtually booked all screens for Chennai Express leaving very little space for Ekta Kapoor to showcase her movie. Imran, on his part, feels as an actor there is very little he could have done to change matters. "As an actor these things are not in my hands," Imran reasoned.
Imran's role in the movie also didn't impress people much. But the actor has no regrets about his portrayal of a gangster. "I am genuinely happy with my acting and work in Once Upon A Time...and I have no qualms in playing a gangster in any future movie."
Well, we like the spunk displayed by Imran. Reminds us of the daring nature of his perfectionist uncle, Aamir Khan.
