Star Plus' Yeh Hai Mohabbatein most likely to premiere from 25 November and take the 11 pm slot

Ekta Kapoor’s much awaited Star Plus show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein based on the novel Custody written by Manju Kapoor will premiere on 25th November (2013). According to a source the mature love story between a couple played by Divyanka Tripathy and Karan Patel will air at the late night time 11 pm slot. We had already written about the same earlier. It was earlier speculated that if not 11 pm this Balaji production might air at the 7.30 slot. But that idea has now been dropped for Saraswatichandra (Sphere Origins) is doing well at the above early evening time band. So now the debate within channel is between 8 pm and 11pm. If this happens Ek Nanad Ki Khushiyon Ki Chaabi Meri Bhabhi (DJ’s A Creative Unit) which is still picking up might be shunted to another time slot. This is the only viable slot, as the rest are already occupied with good ranking shows i.e. Mahabharat (8.30), Diya Aur Baati Hum (9pm) and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (9.30pm). However another source adds that the 8 pm slot might not shift for Meri Bhabhi as Ekta Kapoor does not want to come in competition with her own other super hit show Jodha Akbar which airs at the same time on Zee TV. When we spoke to Karan he said, “I too have heard about launch on 25th of this month but have no confirmation on the same.” He further added that he had no clue about the time slot. We tried to get in touch with Gaurav Banerjee, Executive Vice-President (content strategy), Star Plus and Ekta Kapoor but to no avail. We shall soon come up with more details.
