Akhlaque Khan shares his experience of working in Life OK's Savdhan India

Akhlaque Khan
Recently we had reported about the very cute and good looking Akhlaque Khan doing an episodic for Savdhan India on Life OK. Talking exclusively to Tellychakkar.com, the young guy avers, “It was a superb experience shooting for the episodic. It was very different from whatever work I had done earlier and it was fun shooting for it.” Throwing light on the show and his character, Akhlaque says, “Well, it’s a suspense thriller revolving around a murder in a hostel in Delhi. It is for the show I had changed my look: kept stubble and wore specs. It’s a very different look from my usual sweet one and it will come as a great surprise to my fans.” The actor, who had previously appeared in Crime Patrol, says he never had an idea that crime shows like this was so popular in our country. Sharing an incident, the actor relates, “Two years ago, I had done Crime Patrol and recently when I was shooting for a documentary in a busy lane of Jammu, I was taken aback when a shopkeeper came to me and said he recognised me having seen me in the show. I am highly impressed by the reach of these shows.” “The only show that my mama (maternal uncle) watches is Savdhan India and the last time I had visited him he told me to be a part of it. And this episodic is thus completely dedicated to him; I hope he likes it,” he smiles. When we ask Akhlaque about the awareness the show spreads among the masses, he quips, “See, doubting everyone around you is being negative but then trying to imbibe some goodness with the message such shows give, definitely helps. Also crime is not one dimensional; you need to understand the core reason of it. So with such shows people get to know how important it is to be safe and keep away from any such happenings that can lead to crimes.” The episodic will be aired tonight (11 November).
