Shah Rukh Khan yet to give dates to Rahul Dholakia for Excel Entertainment film

We had earlier reported that Rahul Dholakia would helm a film produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani under their banner Excel Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. We had also said then that the film would star Shah Rukh Khan in the lead. But the recent report is that the Chennai Express actor is so busy that he hasn’t yet signed for the film. Observes Dholakia, “Shah Rukh has not given his dates and we are yet to think about the leading lady. Anything related to the casting and shooting of the film is yet to be finalized. It is too early to talk anything about the film." Asked to detail about his film the Parzania director quips, "The scripting is still on. Hence I can't talk much about the film including the genre it would be filmed in." Right now Dholakia is shooting for Society that is a satire about contemporary India through a middle-class housing society in Mumbai. The residents, an amalgamation of different interesting characters, have one common problem and that is water. As it is evident in most parts of our country, water is scarce. So the members try all legal avenues to get the problem fixed. When everything fails, they decide to dig a well in the society. What follows is chaos and a larger problem- that is conflict with the external society in general and the government of India. On the other hand Shah Rukh is busy with Farah Khan's Happy New Year.
