While one Bollywood couple ties the knot (John Abraham and Priya Runchal), another one prefers to play the waiting game. We are talking about Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. That they are dating is not a secret anymore. Post their scandalous bikini vacation in Spain, the couple has not really made any attempts at hiding their rendezvous when in public. The most startling revelation happened on Koffee with Karan where Kareena unabashedly addressed Katrina as her sister-in-law. Just recently, the awesome twosome were snapped entering a suburban theater where director Anurag Kashyap had organized a special screening of The Wolf of Wall Street for his industry friends. Then emerged reports of the duo flying off to New York to ring in the New Year.
But despite them being in a relationship for a long time, reports now emerge that Katrina is not in a great hurry to tie the knot much to the dismay of Ranbir. It is believed that Ranbir confided in a close friend while rehearsing for an upcoming awards function that Katrina prefers her career over marriage as she is more focused on excelling in her professional life and is not keen on entering into holy matrimony at the current moment.
In fact, at the last press conference of Dhoom 3, the actress vehemently denied rumours about her impending marriage with Ranbir and told the media that she is not thinking about marriage at least for the next 20 years and she is keen on building her career. Well, looks like Katrina repeated the same message all over again before Ranbir as well.
It may also be recalled that in Koffee with Karan, Ranbir had expressed his desire to get married soon. With cousin Kareena all set to dance to the tunes of Chikni Chameli in Ranbir’s wedding, one thought 2014 would be the year for the Kapoor scion to get hitched to pretty Kat. But with Katrina placing a roadblock, it seems poor Ranbir will have to wait till his lady says ‘yes’.
But given the charmer that Ranbir is, we feel he may well be able to turn tables soon enough, in his favour.
