Happy Birthday to Sharad Malhotra, Mrunal Jain and Farah Khan

Handsome hunk Sharad Malhotra, who had made his television debut with Banoo Main Teri Dulhann, is celebrating his birthday today (9 January). The other birthday babies of the day are Mrunal Jain (Uttaran) and Farah Khan. Says Sharad on his plans for the special day, “I started my day by visiting temple to seek blessing from God and later my entire day has been already been planned by Divyanka (Tripathi) and other close friends, so I have no idea where I will be heading to. Last night they took me to Carter Road, Bandra and there at promenade I cut a cake. One of my friends played a guitar and sung birthday song for me. I know Divyanka was behind all the master plan and it was really sweet of them. I could not have asked for a better surprise than that.” What gifts have you received? “My sister couriered my favourite Belgium chocolates, a shirt and a beautiful card. Talking about Divyanka’s gift, it is yet to come. But last night’s surprise and today’s entire day plan by her is enough for me.” How do you feel on getting a year older? “I think I am like wine; gets better with age.” So can we see you getting married in this year? “I knew you will ask this question. This year I want to be seen on television. I want to focus on my career, do good roles. I have few offers in pipeline so I will decide accordingly. ” Any message for your fans? “Yes, would thank them for wising me and making my day more special. Being away from television from four years but still receiving the same amount of audience love is very pleasing. I am truly grateful to them.” Next we spoke to Mrunal, “I have been working non-stop till 2.30 in the night and then resumed shooting since 9am. I will shoot till 2pm and go home, then go to the gym in the evening. As for celebrations it will be with family. I will be spending the day with my parents and wife. What about your birthday resolution? “I have quit eating pan and drinking cold drinks for good, to be healthier, and I love both these things a lot.” The best present he would want on his birthday?” A three film contract with Yashraj Productions or Sanjay Leela Bhansali. And talking about gifts, my parents give me five thousand rupees cash each year and they did this year too. My wife gifted me an iPhone 5s Gold from my own pocket (smiles) and many hand written notes from her side.” We called up Farah and her manager shared that she kept busy shooting for her upcoming movie Happy New Year on her birthday.
