Rajeev Mehta and Madhavi Gogate in Mrs Tendulkar

Rajeev Mehta, who has played key roles in Hats Off’s popular shows like Khichdi and Baa Bahoo Aur Baby will put in a cameo along with Madhavi Gogate in the soon-to-go-on-air Mrs Tendulkar. Madhavi was earlier seen in shows like Balaji’s Kahin To Hoga. She played Rajeev Khandelwal’s mother in it. Rajeev and Madhavi play husband and wife in the opening episode of Mrs Tendulkar. Mrs Tendulkar is based on a bank-quarters colony, named Gangaram Godbole Bank Colony, were houses are allotted only to people working in the bank. Says a source, “Rajeev plays the outgoing bank manager, Mr Joshi. He and his wife will be shown leaving the colony, as he’s retiring. So, according to the bank rule, one can’t stay in the colony after retirement. A lot of khichdi-type drama will be done by the jodi in the same episode.” As the managerial post is vacant, other male members of the colony desire and expect to get hold of that post, but then the entry of the Tendulkar family brings in the twist. Kishori Godbole who plays the actual Mrs Tendulkar in the show, will be shown as the new manager, a fact which will shock everyone in the colony. Deven who plays the house-husband in the family will support her in her new job then… and likewise the story continues.” A source confirmed the news with us. Should be interesting, this Mrs Tendulkar!
