DID motivated Saumya to learn dancing

Saumya Tandon who is just back from Argentina (she was there for the forthcoming Zor Ka Jhatka) is back on the dance floor with her dancing shoes. Having hosted two seasons of Dance India Dance, the girl is naturally passionate about dancing. She says it’s DID that motivated her to learn the right techniques of dancing. So, now every time she has some free time she runs to her “dance Guru Devesh Mirchandani”. Saumya always loved dance as she says, “Devesh is teaching me dance and he was a student of Terence Lewis. He is a sweetheart as he does the girl’s part better than me (laughs). He is very knowledgeable about dance and is always curious to know more about the right technique and style. From what I see in the industry most of the people who even teach Bollywood dance do not know the right techniques.” Though she loves dancing her busy schedules hardly give her time to dance regularly. “I am not a regular student when it comes to dancing. At times I even go to learn it just twice a month! With crazy shooting schedules things get difficult at times.” Er, is she looking forward to participating in a dance related reality show? “I am not really focusing on it but if I do a reality show it will be only dance based. I am not a masala person so cannot do anything on those lines but a lot of other factors too matter while you take up a show so, let’s see.” Well, well, we are watching you, Saumya!
