Rakesh Paul, who's currently busy doing SAB ka Bheja Fry is grinning from ear to ear. The Punjab da Puttar has been roped in to play a plum role in Sahara One's popular daily soap Woh Rehne Wali Mehlon Ki, where he'll portray a role of an illiterate man.
Elaborating on his character, Rakesh says, "Dev is a very lively and humorous character. He's a bihari, who comes down to Mumbai with his family to earn lot of money at the cost of doing nothing. It's more of Govinda's Raja Babu type of role. He's pampered by all the family members but is good for nothing. After Aamir Ali's exit, who was the USP of this show, producers wanted to add some twist in the show. So, this character will be introduced to add more spice in the tale."
So why did Rakesh take up this role? "I'm very fond of Rajshree Productions. So, I couldn't refuse them. What I liked most about Dev is that there are many facets to his personality. He's a dumb guy but has sense of humor," says Rakesh.
What homework did you do for this character? "I tried learning lot of bihari words and did adapt style of my character for a while," giigles Paul.
Here's wishing our Raja Babu a very All the Best
