Ram Kapoor 'saturated' with Bade Achhe Lagte Hain

Ram Kapoor
Yes, you heard it right. The superstar of small screen Ram Kapoor is a tad saturated with Bade Achhe Lagte Hain (Sony Entertainment Television), a show that has now been running on Indian television for more than two years now and has aired more than 500 episodes. In an interview with Tellychakkar.com, Ram admitted that he’s saturated playing the same character for a long time now in Bade Achhe… (Balaji Telefilms) but in the same breath said that TV actors are used to such long outings. “Yes. I am saturated but TV actors are used to it. There are other shows too that I have done in the past which lasted for about three to four years. Like Kasamh Se which ran for four years. So you don’t have a choice. As a TV actor, I think you are used to doing the same role for three or four years and that has its challenges. Yes, sometimes it becomes boring and you reach a saturation level. But you have to find ways to continue doing it which I think any TV actor gets used to after some point.” Refuting rumours of him quitting Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, Ram said that he is still very much a part of it but conceded the fact that he has not presently been able to devote much time the serial as he used to earlier. “I am still continuing with the serial. I have not been able to give as much time because there is too much film work happening and too much travel is involved,” said Ram and added that he is focusing more on film work and less on television, at present. The seasoned actor also dismissed talks of the popular serial going off air. “These are rumours but I guess the channel will take a decision two-three months from now.” Well, now that Ram has decided to focus on his film career more, all we can say is ‘Television’s loss is Bollywood’s gain’.
