Shafaq Naaz shares her 'ugly experience' of an indecent proposal

Stardom comes with a price and sometimes, they include some shocking experiences too! The beautiful Shafaq Naaz who is playing the strong Kunti in Siddharth Tewary’s Mahabharat on Star Plus recently faced an ugly situation that has left the 20 year old girl think how actors have to face the brunt of some miscreants. A couple of days back, the girl received a call from a man who wanted to sign her for a jewellery ad shoot and what followed was surely a disturbing moment for the girl. Sharing the happenings exclusively to Tellychakkar.com, she informs, “Stating that he had got my number from the artists’ directory, the man tried to lure me by talking about big money. But it appalled me when he asked me what work I have done till date. This statement from him alerted me and I started cross-questioning the man.” She adds, “When I told him I am playing Kunti, the man who must be around 30-35 years started giving me respect to the extent of calling me ‘didi’. He first asked how come I am playing an aged woman at such a young age. And then what he mentioned just shocked me to the core.” Shafaq narrates her unbelievable experience. “The man told me he is into escort services and gives a chance to actresses and models to earn some fast money. I was taken aback when he went on to name some big TV actresses to be his clients. He said that one could earn lakhs in some hours through him. I was so disgusted that I gave him an earful.” “I then called up my family who suggested me to file a police complaint. But I felt this would only mean giving unwanted importance to that creep. However, my brother called that man and threatened him about facing dire consequences, if he called me again,” professes the brave girl. The young actor who started her career with Bidaai claims that it’s ironical that while an actor receives so much of love and respect from fans, one needs to face such harrowing experiences too at times. “Most TV stars are self-made and thus such kinds of experiences are so discouraging. Today he used some known names in front of me; tomorrow he can mention my name to lure others. It’s important to keep a check on these things.” “Also an actor’s life is surely an insecure one and thus one should have belief in oneself and not fall for such easy means of money. There is no comeback from this hell. Even if a person is depressed or pressurized, one should always have faith in their talent and be strong. Also keep your family in loop, for they can be your biggest support in such hard times,” concludes the beautiful Shafaq. Shafaq, your friends and family must be really proud of you!
