After her insipid performance on Saturday, the only thing that can now save Poonam yadav from being eliminated in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007 is viewer's vote.
Thus far, Poonam's humble background has overshadowed her talent. She's garnered more public sympathies than anyone else on the show. More sympathies will pour in for Poonam after it was revealed that the 26-year-old girl from Lucknow had adopted a child.

There's every possibility that this can tilt the scales in favour of Poonam but how fair is it on the show's part to highlight this at a time when Poonam hasn't performed well?
Creative Head, Payaol Patel says, "Poonam's been with us for four months but none of us were aware of this fact. It was only after we invited her mother for the show that Poonam stated that she'd like her daughter to be here too. All of us were taken aback by her disclosure"
But is it ethical to tell the tale of an adopted child? Payaol chides, "Poonam herself didn't have any inhibitions in disclosing this to us. She was very comfortable when she introduced her daughter to us. So, why shouldn't we show it in our show?"
We contacted Bappi Lahiri, who had earlier voiced his discontent over Poonam garnering sympathy votes, and this what he said "Poonam is not from my gharana. I don't want to make a single comment on her. You should ask her guru Ismail Darbar"
Poonam was unavaialbe for comment.
