The Pandavas in Swastik Productions’ Mahabharat have been put on a difficult task of living a year in disguise (agyatvas) and this came as an interesting surprise for the viewers of this Star Plus show.
The current track shows the Pandavas along with Draupadi (Pooja Sharma) dressed in disguise and living a life separate from each other. But Shakuni (Parneet Bhatt) and Duryodhan (Arpit Ranka) have finally got a whiff of their whereabouts and are in plans to attack them and unveil their real identity. This so because for they want to send the Pandavas for another twelve year exile again as decided earlier.
Viewers who know about Mahabharat surely know what lies ahead. But Tellychakkar.com decided to speak to the actors about their experience of donning a completely different avatar.
The very good looking and extremely popular Shaheer Sheikh, who plays Arjun, has once again donned the look of a woman playing a dance teacher Brihannala this time. Smiling sheepishly he shares, “It was a great time for all of us and we indulged in a lot of masti. Since I was the only one dressed as a woman, I was subjected to a lot of teasing by the others. The fun part for me although was that I had to learn some dance steps for my part which I enjoyed a lot. And yes the makeup part was surely the sad point (laughs). Since I am not someone who enjoys make up and shoots without it most of the time, spending hours getting my hair and makeup done was a tough task. Hats off to all you women!”
On the other hand, the youngest of the lot, Nakul played by Vin Rana who will be seen as a stableman avers, “I just loved my look especially my beard and pony tail. It was such an international look that I was completely blown away when the stylist informed me about the same. Also the feel and character of a strict person really was a challenging task since Nakul is always this fun boy. The scenes were also wonderfully written and it was a very enjoyable experience overall.”
The others who have disguised themselves are the eldest Pandav Yudhishthir (Rohit Bhardwaj) who is is seen in Mantri (minister) Kank look taking care of the kingdom, Bheem (Saurav Gurjar) has put on a cook’s look Ballav Maharaj and Sahdev (Lavanya Bhardwaj) as Tantripal, a cattleman. Also Draupadi (Pooja Sharma) is seen as a beautician Malini.
With the agyatvas (exile in disguise) all set to end now, gear up to see the Pandavas coming back and planning for the battle of Kurukshetra.
