I can not wear saris and mangalsutra at this point in my career," declares the fresh new face on the tube, Amrita Prakash. The gorgeous actor has debuted on the small screen as in Zee's latest daily, Har Ghar Kuch Kehta Hai. The young lady had been approached by well known production houses but she politely turned it down and opted for Har Ghar ….. "I was caught up with something so had to reject the offers. When this Zee show came my way, I took it. The reason being, I liked the script and most importantly my character," states Amrita. How satisfied is she with the choice of her launch pad? "It's just been a month old show and currently I am enjoying my role. I have just begun to discover my character. As for now, playing Sanskriti is fun, though she is not at all like me. The one thing we share in common is our stubbornness," Amrita says. What kind of roles is she game for in the future? "I am still studying and I think that it's too early for me to say yes to elderly roles," she states. This young girl has issues with falling prey to generation leaps, "I want to play my age, not too young and not too old," she declares matter of fact. Miss Prakash is one of those actors who have travelled a reverse path, from Bollywood to Tellywood. She has starred in films, namely Tum Bin, Koi Mere Dil Mein Hai and the recent hit Vivah, where she essayed Amrita Rao's sister. Has she shunned the doors of movies for TV? "I have not shifted my interest from the big screen to small one. It's just that the quality of work made me to take up this show," speaks Amrita. She adds, "I want to finish my graduation and then pursue Bollywood. Till then, I am keeping myself busy with television," reveals Amrita who is currently pursuing her last year of B.Com from Mithibai College. Though it's too early to discuss marriage plans, the young actor already has her opinion ready, "I will only go for a love marriage." So will she be taking the trend forward of settling with a co-star? "No, my man will not be from the same industry. There is no particular reason, but it's just the way I want it to be. I am a thorough professional in my approach," she holds. How faithfully you stick to by your stand, only time will tell dear!
