TV celebs share their plans to celebrate Mother
The path to motherhood is wide and varied. We often neglect to honour and remember our mothers who nurture and care for us beyond limits. When they are around, we have nothing to fear about. We spoke to a few television celebrities to find out about their plans of making their bond with their respective mothers stronger, this Mother’s Day. Sukirti Kandpal: My mother is a very simple person. So I think if I can just spend time with her, she will be extremely delighted. She loves eating Chinese and would love to take her out for lunch or dinner. Sumit Vats: My mother, Indira Vats is an amazing housewife. All I want to do is go back home in Delhi and spend some quality time with her on Mother’s Day. I wonder if my shooting schedule would permit me to do that but I really hope things materialise. Somya Seth: My mother is out of town celebrating her 25th marriage anniversary which is on 19 April and will be back sometime next week. At present, I am taking care of the entire house including cooking food. I think when she comes back I will take her somewhere shopping. I have already planned to gift her a nice three-studded diamond ring and I am sure she will love it. Disha Parmar: I actually celebrated Mother’s Day on 9 May itself. I took my mother Lovleen Parmar out for shopping and gifted her a pair of gold earrings. Shrenu Parikh: I do not think I will be able to celebrate Mother’s Day with my dearest mother, Smita Parekh due to my hectic schedule. However, my brother will take her out for lunch. As for me, I will make a trip to my hometown Baroda and will take her on a special vacation soon. My mother is a banker by profession and I would just like to say that she is the best mother in the world. Kritika Kamra: My mother Kumkum Kamra is a nutritionist by profession. My mother has come down to Mumbai and I plan to take her out for shopping followed by some spa and brunch. Akshay Dogra: I generally send flowers and cakes to my mother on special occasions. I think Mothers Day, Friendships Day and other days are just crafted by card companies. I do not think these days are required to celebrate emotions. I can celebrate Mother’s Day 365 days in a year. Viraf Patel: If time permits me, I would love to go and visit my parents in Pune and spend some quality time with them.
