Padmini Kolhapure roped in for Sony TV's Ekk Nayi Pehchaan

Well, seems like Jay and Kinnari Mehta know exactly how to keep spice alive in their show Ekk Nayi Pehchaan airing on Sony Entertainment Television. After roping in the popular and gorgeous Poonam Dhillon, they have now signed Poonam’s best friend and contemporary Padmini Kolhapure for the serial. The Bollywood actress will be playing the other woman in Sharda (Poonam) and Suresh’s (Sooraj Thapar) life. Her entry will bring a lot of new twists and turns with destroying Sharda’s faith in the institution of marriage. When we buzzed Jay and asked him why he is roping in all Bollywood beauties, he smiled, “Yes, we got in Padmini for she suits the character really well. The persona and aura she has could not be matched by anyone else. Also we needed someone who could stand strong against Poonam ji. She was the perfect choice and it is going to be a great show seeing the two women together.” Padmini and Poonam not only grew up together in the industry but also started their Bollywood career together 30 years back. They were last seen sharing screen space in the 90’s film Qurbani Rang Layegi. When we asked the producer whether roping in Padmini was a tough task he said, “Not at all, her character is going to be really challenging and she is very happy with the role. This is going to be a great stepping stone for her TV outing.” Padmini’s entry will be aired next week.
