More and more personalities from the film industry are being invited to address global academic forums. The latest is producer Sheetal Talwar who has been invited to speak on the Hindi film industry at the very posh London Business School on 28 May.
The London Business School is rated among the three top business schools in the world.
Speaking on the opportunity to take the film on such a prestigious platform Sheetal says, “It is a big honour and a big responsibility. The LBS is one of the top business schools in the world. To be invited there to speak on Bollywood shows how seriously our film industry is now taken in the international market.”
Sheetal was asked to speak on Bollywood as an entertainment industry in India. But he decided to revise the topic.
“I have decided to speak at the LBS on ‘What Cinema Taught Me That Business School Did Not.’ I think it’s time we took Bollywood forward to the next level. Films like Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and The Lunchbox have already taken cinema to a global platform. We need to build our cinematic image as an intelligent creative medium.”
