Anupam Kher was born on 7th March 1955.He completed his schooling from Dav School and National School of Drama. He made his debut in Bollywood with the film Aagman in 1982. He is most popularly known for essaying roles in the popular films DDLJ,Saaransh, Karma ,Daddy, Darr ,Chaahat, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Mohabbatein ,Veer-Zaara (2004),Football Shootball Hai Rabba Om Jai Jagadish, Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara etc.He also starred in internationalfims and was appreciated for his performances in Kher is known internationally for Bend It Like Beckham , Bride and Prejudice , The Mistress of Spices and Lust, Caution.He also held the post of the Chairperson of the Censor Board and won many awards an accolades including the filmfare award for the best comic actor more than 5 times. Anupam Kher is married to Actress Kirron Kher and continues to hold a special place in Bollywood through his extraordinary work.
