Eva Green's raunchy film poster banned in America
Looks like the American censor board is taking censorship lessons from its Indian counterpart. For a country that prides itself on the creative freedom offered to filmmakers, the Motion Pictures Association of America (MPAA) shocked everyone by banning a raunchy poster of Sin City: A Dame to Kill For poster featuring former Bond girl Eva Green for its sexually suggestive nature. In the poster, Eva is seen wearing a translucent white robe that leaves little to the audience's imagination. And this was enough to get MPAA's knickers in a twist. Springing into action, MPAA banned the poster, "for nudity—curve of under breast and dark nipple areola circle visible through sheer gown." Sin City: A Dame to Kill For is the sequel to the 2005 hit Sin City. Looks like American censor board doesn't want too much sin to be paraded through filmy posters. So much for creative liberty.
