Abhinav Kapoor and Param Singh are ‘gym buddies’

We eat… drink… dance… and ‘gym’ together, say handsome and brawny actors Abhinav Kapoor (Kasautii Zindagii Kay fame) and Param Singh of Sadda Haq. Yes, both the childhood friends believe in working out together and that’s why they call themselves ‘gym buddies’. How cool! Let’s talk to both of them and learn about their camaraderie and fitness mantra. Says Abhinav, “Param and I are childhood buddies and also neighbours. From our younger days we share a great bond and have always stood for each other. In fact we both shared the same dream of becoming actors. Today we both are in the happy zone and aspire to become good actors.” Tell us about your workout schedule? “I do 50 sets of all the exercises daily and make sure to workout at least six days in a week. The best part is that we both motivate each other to work hard. There is always a healthy competition between us. And of course we both involve some fun element in the workout to make it happening and not boring. We are so much into our fitness zone that whenever we meet, our only topic to talk about is health and fitness,” explains Abhinav. Who has the best body according to you? “In Bollywood I like Vidyut Jamwal and in television it has to be Karan Singh Grover. It’s good to see him in shape over the years.” Any fitness tip? “I would say that staying fit is very necessary as you are not prone to diabetes, joints pain, blood pressure and other diseases. Don’t have steroids and eat healthy food. And for an actor, it’s very important to have a good body. If you are good looking, then the good body adds to it.” Param adds, “Yes, Abhinav and I are more of gym buddies. We are close friends since our childhood. We help each other in workout sessions and like to stay in better shape. My gym workout has different exercises every day which includes biceps, shoulders, cardio and legs. For the past two years I have been working out rigorously.” Do you think good body is important than acting now? “I don’t think so, otherwise all the gym trainers would have been actors now.” What is your fitness mantra? “I don’t believe in six packs. I think one should have a good physique. Eating right at the right time is important. Avoid junk food and one should not consume alcohol and smoke.” Keep pumping guys!!!
