Jodha Akbar completes a year today

It’s indeed a happy day today for Zee TV’s number one show Jodha Akbar (Balaji Telefilms) completes a year. The show has been through a lot of ups and downs in this airing phase. Let’s take a trip down memory lane. Certain samaj (community) hit out at the show and made a hue& cry demanding to shut it down. If that was not it, 90 crew members walked out of the project revolting against the Director Santram Verma. Soon after which rumours of the show’s leads Paridhi Sharma and Rajat Tokas not seeing eye-to-eye surfaced. Next came the sexual assault drama revolving the female lead and finally the historical saga hit headlines for a consummation scene, including a lip-lock sequence, which was chopped later. Quite a controversial ride, we must say. But what remained constant in this journey was Jodha Akbar’s impressive ratings. We texted Paridhi to get her comment but she remained unavailable. So did Producer Ekta Kapoor and Rajat Tokas. We congratulate the entire Jodha Akbar team on completion of a year.
