Blog it baby: Zindagi brings India and Pakistan together on one platform

Zindagi brings India and Pakistan together on one platform
Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEE), has launched its new GEC Zindagi on 23 June, 2014. The latest channel reinforces the vision of ZEE’s corporate philosophy ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam – The world is my family’ and aims to unite people in India and across the world with shows produced overseas. As part of its marketing initiatives the channel recently conducted a never done before simulcast Bloggers meet connecting Delhi, Mumbai and Lahore in association with IndiBlogger. The Zindagi Bloggers Meet was a huge success, they connected bloggers across the two metro cities, Mumbai and Delhi and gave them an opportunity to converse with prominent Television Producer and Director Sultana Siddiqui from Lahore. Also present were Shailja Kejriwal, Chief Creative – Special Projects, ZEEL and popular Pakistani Actor Imran Abbas at The Leela, Andheri to address the Bloggers questions. The bloggers were simultaneously tweeting during the event with a Twitter hashtag specialty created and inspired by Zindagi’s motto ‘JodeyDilonKo.’ The tweets tagged under #JodeyDilonKo were displayed live as bloggers across the two cities debated on the age old fight of Delhi versus Mumbai, the better city in various aspects. There were a lot of activities and competitions played between the two cities and gifts sponsored by Flipkart and Wildcraft were given out. Imran Abbas, the actor who will soon be seen in Zindagi’s show ‘Mera Naseeb’ said, “I am honored to be a part of this initiative with ZEEL that aims to break boundaries between countries. People across India and Pakistan share the same cultural roots and we both come from the same mitti. We, at Pakistan have grown up watching Indian shows and movies and there is a big fan following of Indian Entertainment in Pakistan. This is the first time Pakistani content is gaining a platform to be officially aired in India. I believe, this kind of an initiative was long due and entertainment is the best medium to dissolve the distances between people’s hearts.” Zindagi aims to showcase real, friendly, vibrant and premium stories of those from across the world that share similar cultural backgrounds, morals and values that are also intrinsic to India.
