Slow and steady wins the race. That's the motto Ram Kapoor seems to be following. The actor who is now charting out his second innings in Bollywood is focused on achieving fame and stardom, something that he couldn't taste earlier. And to do that he has given himself 10 years and doesn't mind doing small inconsequential roles which other television actors wouldn't normally take up.
“All TV actors and actresses are desperate to enter Bollywood but only a handful of them succeed. There are extremely big actors in television who are dying to enter Bollywood and make it big here but it is just not happening. For me, I can dictate terms in television today but that is not the same in Bollywood. When I entered television, I gave it 10 years and I reached where I wanted to. Even in Bollywood, I have decided to invest 10 years here.”
Disclosing the agenda behind doing small roles, Ram says, “Many of my colleagues have asked me why I am doing such small inconsequential roles but I am not seeing it that way. I am prepared to do it because it gets me a film with Dharma film which will in turn get me a project with YRF. And this planning has worked. I did Ek Main Ekk Tu and that got me Student Of The Year which in turn got me Mere Dad Ki Maruti and finally Humshakals. So that is how I am planning my career."
Well, we hope Ram's game plan works this time around.
