MUMBAI: It was once said about Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya that they were the most beloved pair in Tollywood. Ye Maaya Chesave, a 2010 blockbuster film, featured them on screen together, and they soon began dating. In 2017, Samantha and Chaitanya got married. But in 2021, they declared their divorce and dissolved their four-year marriage. Soon after, Naga began seeing Sobhita Dhulipala, although they didn't disclose their connection at first. As of right now, the two are engaged.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu once said that she didn't think Naga Chaitanya was sincere when he said he loved her. Samantha and Naga discussed their romantic lives in an interview with TFPC on their official YouTube channel, which took place nearly eight years ago. The host requested Chay to immediately pop the question to Samantha during their conversation.
While Chay was blushing, Samantha told him, “Say it like you mean it”
Naga Chaitnay said, “From the bottom of my heart, Samantha, I love you." Samantha, who seemed unsatisfied with Chay's proposal asked the interviewer, "Did you believe that?"
Naga proposed again and told her that he said things only if he meant them.
Meanwhile Naga Chaitanya got engaged to actress Sobhita Shulipala recently and his dad Nagarjuna said, “We are delighted to announce the engagement of our son, Naga Chaitanya, to Sobhita Dhulipala, which took place this morning at 9:42 am!! We are overjoyed to welcome her into our family. Congratulations to the happy couple! Wishing them a lifetime of love and happiness. God bless! 8.8.8 A beginning of infinite love.”
Chay and Sam had shared a joint statement announcing their separation and wrote, “After much deliberation and thought Sam and I have decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths. We are fortunate to have a friendship of over a decade that was the very core of our relationship.”
