MUMBAI:  The legacy of the late Bondita and Anirudh Roy Chowdhary from one of the most loved television shows ‘Barrister Babu’ lives on through their daughters in COLORS’ ‘Durga Aur Charu’. While Charu is her mother’s soul, Durga is her shadow. The show outlines the journey of the two sisters, who are bound by blood but are starkly different owing to their diametrically opposite upbringing after being separated as children. The show is produced by Shashi Sumeet Productions.

Currently, Durga gets horrible nightmares, and is mentally and physically weaker than other kids of her age. Meanwhile, bold and smart Charu is living a life of misery with her adoptive family.

Durga has everything, luxury, comfort and her grandparents. Unfortunately, her life here is not that easy as well because she faces a lot more trauma than any child of her age can bear.

Therefore, when she fails to bear everything, she prays to Durga Maa for her younger sister Devi to return into her life and save her. When Durga gets burnt because of holding diya for a long time in her hand, Charu feels the same burning pain in her hands.

Charu's adoptive mother is really cruel. She cages her when she fails to perform the stunt in the market.

While Durga is praying and hoping for Charu aka Devi to return to her, Charu is hoping and wondering if she has any family member left in this cruel world.

How will the sisters reunite?
